I guess I'll decide to go ahead and make a new thread for this, since I haven't found one recently that's for this specific purpose.

Make high scores in Rollerbeetle Racing register per account. Observing the high score list, I see the top 100 flooded by repeat names. This ruins people's chances at getting a high score and also lowers the number of prizes that may be handed out.

I believe that the DCS has not made the racing experience more fun, but rather seems to have broken the system. We now have a game where certain players are able to exploit a way to quit without gaining dishonor points and therefore give themselves a much greater chance to go for high scores in racing and flood the list with their name.

I believe this problem can be fixed by making it so that racing works like HB and GvG where your rating is based on your fastest time (or highest score, same thing) and your rank adjusts to that. The high score list can then show who is ranked the highest and down to number 100. The name listed can be the Account Name.

I think it's a pretty unfair way of running things, the people with multiple spots easily take up beyond 1/3rd of the top 100 list, thus limiting the amount of "special" prizes that will be handed out, which will even more inflate the prices of this prize making the people who figured out an exploit of sorts(maybe) the upper hand once again.

If they can't make the change, at least make the prizes account bases not unable to be traded to another user, this way they can't get inflate the prices of said item.

I realize that could upset the collectors however it's just one idea on how to at least keep it somewhat fair if they can't fix that problem

Yeah. One is enough. Play to get a top 100 and them make room for the rest.
It's already hard to get lucky and enter the top 100.

I agree this is a real problem. I just posted another thread on this subject. here is my take on it:

Another round of racing another round of 10-15 people getting the highest scores. Congrats to the top racers, but this has become the same people over and over, who then sell the minis for outrageous prices
(1750 ectos approx 8 million gold). People should only be allowed thier highest score per account. This would address this domination by a few players and at the same time not punish them for their outstanding skills. Someone scores a 480,000 and an hour later they score a 482,000 then the 480 score drops off the list completely to be replaced by the 482. At the same time this would open up the opportunity for others to win.

Also, I am not sure if the prize is limited to one per account or one per character. If it is one per character that also should be corrected.

Not only in Rollerbeetles. All challenges should be like that too.

In the PvP ladder people do not appear 100 times if they win 100 times. They appear once.
In sports like javelin throwing or long jumping, where you can have multiple tries, only the best one count. You'll never see someone with the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the same time just because he had the 3 best scores.

This is EXACTLY the same. Even if you are the best, you are only one.

In fairness, this is exactly how arcade high-score tables work, which is what they were thinking of when first creating these infinite challenge missions. Of course that doesn't mean it works for an MMO, especially when there are prizes beyond bragging rights at stake.
